Many people have expressed a desire to see where we really have gone, to follow along on a map. Previously these were available, but difficult to navigate, and took up a lot of space on the Travelogue page. Now, you can view the routes we take as saved by our GPS, and they are available for you to download as well, should you wish to copy our path. (Be sure you read the travelogues for an area before deciding to do that! Haha!) In reality, it may be useful for some people to download the routes for use in programs like Google Earth. However, if you just want to see where we've gone, view the map in Google Maps by clicking on the title of the route. I suggest using the various modes of Google Maps to view the route on a normal map page, as well as on satellite view. Have fun, and enjoy another little way to teach geography as well as computer skills. Do you want to do some cycling of your own in the USA? Adventure Cycling Association has been carefully mapping out bicycle routes all over the United States. It started in 1976 with the TransAmerica trail and continues with the recently published Washington Parks Loop. They are now up to 38,158 miles of cycling routes! For a full listing of all these cycling routes, visit Adventure Cycling and request a free map catalog.
