Canoe River Campground holds a special place in our hearts.

It’s where we spent parts of two summers in the Cape Cod area while Tony tended a contract and we caught up with our friends and loved ones in New England between bike trips around Europe and road trips through Central America.

The owners, Mark and Linda & their extended family, have become good friends and we’ve appreciated their hard work to make summer magical for our kids and hundreds of others as they carry on the family legacy built by their Dad, Joe, in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

Their campground is one of the most affordable in the area. It also has some of the best amenities, including two pools, a community hall where fun things are hosted every weekend, ice cream and snack shop, necessities store, laundromat, showers, playground, canoe and paddle boat rental, and sites of all sizes and power sorts to accommodate tenters, through big rigs.

We’ve laughed through Bingo on Friday nights, participated in fourth of July parades, Father’s Day paddle boat races, and fishing contests over summer weekends and had friends and family join us to make some very special memories. If you’re camping in the northeast, you want to work in Canoe River Campground. You can hop the train into Boston from the town of Mansfield and they’ll even drive you up and drop you off! There are beaches in Rhode Island, and on Cape Cod within an easy drive too.
