On our way to Prince Edward Island
June 30, 2007 in Canada, North America, Travelogue
< ![CDATA[ June 30 dawned bright and promising. We packed up our bikes and headed for Confederation Bridge. The longest bridge in Canada, across the North Umberland Strait. Pedestrians and cyclists are not permitted on the bridge as the winds are often fierce. So, we loaded up our seven bikes and our twenty six bags, guitar and fiddle onto the massive, ten cycle trailer for the ten minute trip across... only to have the joy of reloading! Our first picnic lunch on the island was exhilarating as we all felt the promise of the weeks of adventure to come.]]>
