Your turn to share an Edventure…
September 6, 2008 in Travelogue
Hello Virtual Field Trippers…
We know from all of the notes we receive that lots of you are enjoying following along, up hill and down, as travel. It has been encouraging to get your letters and to learn a little bit about some of the families sharing in the Edventure Project.
For us, adventure is a way of life, not just when we’re on a big trip, but when we’re keeping the home fires burning as well. Some of our BEST adventures have been those we’ve had right in our own back yard and we know that we’re not the only ones.
As summer draws to a close and a new school year begins we’d like to send out an Edventure Project challenge to all of you around the world: Send us a note telling us about an adventure you’ve had as a family over the summer. It could be a trip you took, a project you created as a family, a new skill you learned, or maybe one of the experiences from one of our Virtual Field Trip Packets…. anything that combined education and adventure. We want to know what you did and what you learned and what it was like… the good parts and the hard parts. Send us pictures too, if you have them. Being the home schoolers that we are, we’d love it if the kids did the writing and assembling of the entry… but if the kids are too little, Mom and Dad can definitely help! Edventure is a family affair, after all.
Here’s the cool part. We’ll post as many of the entries as we can on our web site (if you don’t want your names or pictures posted on line, be sure to let us know that!) AND, the first twenty families to send in an entry will receive a few little treasures from our adventure. Be sure to send your mailing address with your entry.
Send your entries (and no greater than med. resolution photos) to bikemama@edventureproject.com
