Today is Ezra’s 10th birthday.
Double digits are a big deal, but for him, it also marks another major landmark in his life:
Ezra has been traveling for over half of his life now. We took our test trip, cycling 500 miles around the Maritime Provinces of Canada when he was just four, we sold his house out from under him when he was five.
As of today, Ezra’s traveled on four continents, and through 16 countries… he’ll add three more in the next month and a half.

Happy Birthday, My Boy!
Happy birthday, Ezra! So happy you got your elephant birthday, looks like you all had a blast. We all wish you a very special birthday. Love, Grandma’s Great!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EZRA!! Ian, Elsa and I LOVED seeing all these snapshots in history!!!! Ian wants to know what Ezra will be doing next. And when he gets to ride on an elephant. And when you’re coming over again. 🙂
Hello Terry Family!! Tell Ian that Ezra will be SLEEPING next! He’s had a big birthday with sparklers and everything! If he comes over, Ezra will be HAPPY to take Ian on another elephant ride, it would be such a fun thing to do with friends! It might be a while until we’re back through Chicago, but you guys are always welcome, wherever in the world you find us.
Lovely memories……..
Happiest of happy birthdays, Ezra!
Happy Birthday Ezra!! You are so full of life and living it to the fullest…I can’t think of a better person for our son to share a name with!
p.s. we still have 8 hours here for a baby to share a bday with you…but so far no action. 🙂
Happy Birthday EZ! I’m amazed at how many of the pictures I saw that I was able to say “I remember that, we were there too!”
My son points out that Ezra has only 3 continents to go and he’s intrigued with how you’ll get to Antarctica! I could actually believe your family would figure out a way! What an amazing life this young man has lived already! It will be fun to see what his future brings!
Mary-Ellen… very astute of your son! Our “loose goal” is to touch their feet to each continent before they launch… we have to hurry, Hannah’s getting big fast!! We’re wondering how we’re going to swing Antarctica too, to be honest, but there ARE some options! (The one I’m most intrigued by costs $20K USD per person… back to the drawing board!)
