Iceland is on my bucket list too – can’t wait to hear how your weekend goes!!

This came at the perfect time for me – I just booked a “package” deal yesterday – so not me; so not us… but the hotel, flights, transfers and meals included made it crazy to try and get to the same place under our own steam… luckily we don’t have any tours included when we get there! I’ll be watching to see how Iceland is though – it looks amazing

You’ve captured the spirit of indie travel so nicely. Definitely in the person not the activity. Like you I do feel having tasted that indie freedom, it’s hard to get back on the bus and stay put. I dread the idea of a packaged vacation, but perhaps the fact it puts me out of my comfort zone means I should take one! On the few weekends we’ve had I do quite enjoy having everything taken care of for a change! Enjoy your Iceland honeymoon. We’re hoping to cycle there in the summer. With the kids.

  • Wow. I want to hear more about your adventures with your Dad, too!

I completely relate to your post. We went on a cruise recently (which is so not our travel style) and we even went on a tour on that cruise (even more not our style). There were parts of it though that were really enjoyable. I hope you enjoy your honeymoon.
